About Preveni

Brazilian technology to prevent pressure injuries: who we are, what we do, the evidence and how it reaches your institution.

Who we are

A company dedicated to a preventable problem

Pressure injuries develop after hours without repositioning, and repositioning is the part of the protocol that depends most on memory and on charting done after the fact

Preveni is a Brazilian health technology company dedicated to pressure injury prevention. We are Preveni Desenvolvimento de Sistemas Ltda., company ID (CNPJ) 35.502.256/0001-81, headquartered in Florianópolis/SC, and we serve institutions throughout Brazil.

Our work starts from an observation of everyday care: repositioning the patient at risk of pressure injury is the main preventive measure, but it depends on memory and on retrospective charting. Preveni takes that responsibility out of improvisation and gives the team objective, real-time information about what is happening in each bed.

What we do

From the sensor on the patient to the board-level indicator

Two parts that work together and close the prevention loop

The DecSense sensor

A wearable device attached to the patient's chest. It continuously monitors the patient's position and the time spent in each one, 24/7, wirelessly. It is easy to clean, reusable, certified by Anatel, Brazil's telecom regulator, and holds a technical opinion from Anvisa, the health regulator.

The management software

It receives the sensor data, cross-checks it against the nursing care plan and alerts the team at the exact moment of the next repositioning. What was done is recorded automatically, with no typing.

The indicators

A real-time patient position map for the unit, risk assessment with recognized scales, injury reporting and protocol adherence by bed and by shift. Adherence stops being an estimate and becomes auditable data.

Scientific evidence

Proven in clinical practice

Prevention with repositioning sensors has been studied and presented at a scientific conference

92,25% adherence to the repositioning protocol

In a study conducted at a hospital in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre (Brazil), the use of repositioning sensors, combined with traditional preventive measures, proved to be an effective strategy in caring for patients at high risk of pressure injury.

“Tecnologia que Preveni: experiência com sensor vestível na prevenção de lesão por pressão” (Technology that Prevents: experience with a wearable sensor in pressure injury prevention) — 15th Brazilian Congress of Enterostomal Therapy (SOBEST, Brazil's enterostomal therapy association), 2025.
